I was going through some old electronics and found a slide scanner that plugged into an HP scanner and took it apart. The insides look like a fluorescent shop light with only one bulb. I found out it ran on nine volts, so after finding an old adapter, all I had to do was put an adapter connector on the light’s wires.
I didn’t take pictures before I took it apart so I had to find someone else’s pictures for the C9861A.
I added some jewelry chain for that shop light look. Turns out that the power cord pulls down enough on the light so that it slips. Taping the cord up to the bottom of the shelf solved that.
