I found this on my computer and decided to post it even though I haven’t used it in a while. I wrote this over a decade ago when I was trying to learn Cherokee. I downloaded the Cherokee font and an audio file of Anna Huckabee pronouncing the syllabary.
There are five files in the zip: Cherokee.chm, Cherokee.exe, CHEROKEE.TTF, syllabary.mp3, and Syllabary.rtf. You need to install the Cherokee.ttf font before the characters will display correctly. The CHM file is my compiled help file for the program (I was into that stuff when I wrote the program). The mp3 file is the full syllabary reading by Anna Huckabee. The program plays the pronunciation of characters from the mp3 file, so all files except the font need to be in the same folder for the program to function correctly.

I’ve thought about making an Android app of it, but I’ve gotten distracted by hiragana. I do still remember some Cherokee words though.

This is so awesome!
I am writing lessons to help high school students in Oklahoma learn Cherokee.
Can I see the source code please as inspiration?
